As a UI/UX Designer at SWIL(Softword India Private Ltd.) I was tasked with redesigning our ERP Web App tailored for Retailers and Distributors. This web solution was essential for our clients to manage sales, inventory, and orders. However, despite its importance, the existing design was outdated and challenging to navigate. The application was cluttered, and users struggled with finding key features. With minimal user research and no direct user feedback, Our goal was to design a solution that aligned with their expectations and would improve the user experience for the people who rely on the system daily.

The application was cluttered, and users struggled with finding key features. With minimal user research and no direct user feedback, Our goal was to design a solution that aligned with their expectations and would improve the user experience for the people who rely on the system daily.

The app had Visual Clutter: Pages were overloaded with unnecessary information. Navigation Confusion: Users had difficulty finding the tools they used most often. Consistency: There was no consistent design language across the app. Additionally, I worked closely with the Manager and CEO to understand their vision for the app. They wanted an interface that would allow users to quickly navigate through sections and easily perform tasks without feeling overwhelmed by too many options, They emphasized that the design should focus on simplicity and streamlined workflows.
Also The main obstacle for me was the lack of concrete user insights, which made it difficult to understand exactly where users were struggling. However, I used the feedback from the leadership team as a foundation and combined that with my own expertise in UX principles to create a solution.

Research & Analysis: Without access to a broad range of user data, I relied on direct discussions with the Manager and CEO to guide the design direction. Their feedback highlighted the need for a streamlined interface that prioritized essential information and eliminated distractions.
Information Architecture: Based on the research findings, we restructured the app's navigation and content, prioritizing features and information according to user needs.
Wireframing & Prototyping: We designed low-fidelity wireframes to visualize the new layout and navigation, iteratively refining them based on user feedback. Afterward, we built a high-fidelity, interactive prototype to test the design.
Usability Testing: We conducted usability tests with a diverse group of users to validate the design and identify areas for improvement. Based on the feedback, we made necessary adjustments to the design.
Visual Design & Style Guide: We developed a cohesive visual language, including color schemes, typography, and iconography, ensuring consistency throughout the app. We also created a style guide to maintain design consistency in future updates.

The final design not only improved the app’s usability but also created a more streamlined experience, enhancing productivity for retailers and distributors alike.
